Recovering: Bobby Brown, who checked into a rehab center last week, People reports. The 43-year-old R&B singer and ex-husband of Whitney Houston was arrested in March for driving under the influence after he was pulled over for talking on his cellphone and failed a subsequent sobriety test. The rehab sojourn was a condition of an agreement with the court, meant to help him avoid jail time.

End of a tense Journey?

Burying the hatchet: Tareq Salahi, who has accepted a settlement in his lawsuit against Neal Schon. In February, the White House party-crasher sued the Journey guitarist to the tune of $50 million for stealing his wife, Michaele, thereby depriving him of several lucrative business opportunities (i.e., reality television deals). But, the band’s rep says, they’ve finally resolved their beef. “Neal Schon and Journey are very pleased with the resolution of all legal issues and claims involving Mr. Salahi,” a Journey spokesman told TMZ on Wednesday. “While a judge previously dismissed Mr. Salahi’s claims on two separate occasions, all matters have now been finally resolved.” The terms of the settlement have not been disclosed.

— Joe Jonas, emphasizing that he’s not the subject of Taylor Swift’s new single, “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” during an appearance on Washington’s WIAD (94.7 FM) on Wednesday. The pair dated for a few months in 2008, and Swift has made a habit of dissing her exes in song, albeit without naming names. But Jonas thinks he’s in the clear on this one. “I can say it’s not about me, because I don’t think we’ve ever tried [to get back together] another time,” the singer, 23, explained.

Hey, Mitt: Hands off our song!

Turn the music off: Silversun Pickups have sent a cease-and-desist letter asking Mitt Romney’s campaign to stop using their song “Panic Switch” during its events. “We don’t like people going behind our backs, using our music without asking, and we don’t like the Romney campaign,” said the Los Angeles-based rock group in a statement. Team Romney has no problem with that. “As anyone who attends Gov. Romney’s events knows, this is not a song we would have played intentionally,” wrote Andrea Saul, a spokeswoman for the Republican presidential candidate, in an e-mail to the Associated Press. “That said, it was covered under the campaign’s regular blanket license, but we will not play it again.”

Splitting up

Jenny McCarthy and Brian Urlacher, People reports. Apparently it was just a summer fling — the actress, 39, and the NFL linebacker, 34, had only been officially dating since May.
